WAYS YOU CAN VOLUNTEER

WORK WITH OUR HORSES AND/OR OUR CLIENTS: 

SIDEWALKERS – walk along side riders & support the rider in performing the requested activities of the PATH, Intl. instructors. Must be physically capable of walking alongside the horse for at least an hour. Individuals must be 14 years or older to volunteer in class.

 

LEADERS –  lead the horses during the therapeutic riding lesson. Must demonstrate an ability to control the horse in various situations. Additional in-depth training is necessary to lead a horse during lessons. Must be physically capable of leading and managing the horse for at least an hour.

PREP – assist in preparing for therapeutic riding class by pulling out equipment and setting up the arena.

HELP WITH SPECIAL EVENTS OR PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE

OFFICE ADMIN

Help with filing and stuffing envelopes, assist in coordinating our mailings or get involved with our fundraising events ... and more!

DERBY DAY PARTY

Our annual Derby Day Party is our primary fundraising event, held each year on the first Saturday in May. If you are interested in serving on one of our Derby Day committees such as the silent auction, set-up for the day of the event, or other ways to help, please reach out by calling or emailing Lacy McKale, our development coordinator at 832-451-6874 or lacy@reiningstrength.org

 

SPECIAL PROJECTS

Scouts, Garden Clubs and other Service Organizations may wish to coordinate special projects on our premises.  What a great way to contribute to your local community!

VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED NOW!

If you are interested in a volunteer position, please submit an online application. If the application is accepted, a background screening will then be conducted.  Volunteers must then be pre-registered to attend the training session.

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?

Anyone who is 14 years or older, must pass a background check, and be physically and medically able to fulfill the volunteer role that you’re signing up for. NO HORSE EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY.
