DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR – FULL TIME POSITION

Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship is hiring a full-time Development Director to join our team. We are seeking a person who is passionate about serving individuals with different abilities.  Qualified candidates must have excellent organization, oral & written communication skills, and experience in relationship building. This individual will be dedicated to grow and recruit, as well as retain supporters of our mission and reach ambitious fundraising goals. They will assist with creating experiences to engage prospective donors, enhance retention, and express gratitude to existing donors. A key aspect of this position is managing and executing our Derby Day for Reining Strength annual fundraiser. This individual is responsible for database entry and upkeep. We are seeking a candidate capable of working on multiple projects at once, and who has 1-3 years active fundraising experience. 

 

Required Skills: Excellent organization, writing, networking, and communication skills. -Systems software proficiency and experience required in Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. -Preferred: experience with digital marketing fundraising initiatives and donor management software (Givesmart and Network For Good).

PATH CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR – FULL TIME POSITION & PART TIME POSITION

Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship, Richmond, TX, a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center, has an opening for a full-time PATH Intl. Credentialed Instructor.  This employee will be responsible for teaching therapeutic horsemanship classes in both English and Western Disciplines, ground lessons, assisting the team with volunteer training and supervision, as well as assisting with the day-to-day tasks of managing the center including horse care.  Work schedule includes some Saturdays.

The successful candidate will be organized, skilled and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and with other staff and volunteers while always displaying a positive attitude.  

Join us in our  40,000 square foot covered facility built specifically for EAAT.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum B.S. or B.A. or equivalent.

  • Strong Equestrian background 

  • Instructor Certification with Path Intl.,  Advanced or Master level is a plus

  • Proven experience in progressing riders in their skill development

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Preferred skill is experience with volunteer management

  • Preferred with equine-assisted learning

  • Must pass a background check 

 

Salary will be commensurate with experience.  Reining Strength offers a competitive benefit package including health insurance and holiday leave.

ASSISTANT IN HORSE CARE AND FACILITY MAINTENANCE - PART TIME POSITION

Reining Strength is seeking part-time assistance with horse care and facility care. Job duties include:

  • Feeding horses

  • Cleaning stalls

  • Cleaning water buckets, troughs, and feeders

  • Mucking pastures

  • Filling waters

  • Basic horse first aid as needed

  • Mowing facility

  • Weed eating facility

  • Sweeping aisle ways, tack room, feed room, and offices 

  • Cleaning bathrooms

  • Additional tasks as needed to care for the horses and facility
